What is PMP?
Project Management Professional (PMP) is offered by Project Management Institute (PMI) and is the most sought after industry-recognized certification for project managers. It is a truly global program which enables you to work in virtually any industry, with any methodology and in any location.

What does a PMP do?
Some job responsibilities of a project manager include having full responsibility and accountability, leading project planning and tracking, performing risk management, communicating with the project sponsor and team, leading project planning and tracking, promoting client involvement and promoting good work relationships.

PMP Eligibility Criteria

Basic requirements to take the PMP exam:

    • A Secondary Degree (High School Diploma, Associate's Degree, or Global equivalent)
    • Minimum of five years / 60 months of unique (non-overlapping) Project Management experience with 7,500 hours in leading and directing projects
    • 35 hours of formal Project Management Education
    • A four year degree (Bachelor's Degree or the Global equivalent)
    • Minimum 3 years/36 months of Project Management experience with 4,500 hours in leading and directing projects
    • 35 hours of formal Project Management Education

Exam Structure

The PMP Exam consists of 200 multiple-choice questions and has to be completed in 4 hours.


PMP exam is held every day at various centres all over the world. However, one can take the exam up to three times in a year.
